Started watching Game of Thrones with my husband and a friend of ours.
I like it.
The opening is bad fucking ass.
Also new drinking game:
(possible spoilers but I've only seen 4 episodes so it can't be that bad):
[spoiler]
Drink Once When:
Anyone says "winter is coming"; two if it's anyone other than a Stark
Anytime John Snow gets called a Bastard; take two if it's by someone other than Tyrion Lannister
You see tits; drink twice if they don't belong to a whore.
Tyrion Lannister makes reference to sleeping in a brothel/with a whore
Finish your drink when:
Someone fucks their sister.
[/spoiler]
That's what I got so far. Lemme know what you think, feel free to add suggestions.

My husband loves that there's nudity. His favorite movie element is surprise-tits. He's still so happy that Anne Hathaway shows her titties in Brokeback Mountain; he refers to that as "a little reward for watching it as a straight dude"
In my opinion it's all warranted and nothing comes across as gratuitous, since they're usually talking plot while banging or it's plot-relevant sex. Honestly [hide]Ned and Cat sucking face before she leaves King's Landing was more unnecessary than any of the full-out sex scenes[/hide].
I'll have a lot more to say when I'm not trying to get homework done and have caught up with the series. Goal is to be on schedule for this week's episode.

Sry zamisk dont let my bias influnce you. I just cant stand shows drawn bad. I mean I think dexters lab and the like are well animated. Never met anyone who loathed samuri jack. Its just DAR* japanese have a winning style for me. That brings up a question how did you get introduced to anime(if u did)?

.
Seriously though, I don't really think there can be a blanket statement on it. The animation itself isn't too bad here, though I never watched the series just the micros, but I can see some of the "lol design" since ... really, what the fuck Iron Man's face?
But, I can think of tons of anime with shitty artwork and shitty animation; the former is a bit more preference and the latter is rather objective. Minami-ke's later seasons were ruined by inconsistent animation, Umineko I'm starting to think was just being super meta about not knowing what they were doing animation wise, etc.
Anyway, from a Marvel perspective, the series was actually handled fairly well. Pacing was a little silly by all accounts but the plot threads abound were basically super pleasing to the comic fans.
Plus, Iron Man's face is what the fuck.

Also @ Game of Thrones
[spoiler]
Do you think they used a stunt child, a stunt tit, both, or neither for the scene in which crazy lady is breast-feeding her way-too-old-for-this-shit son?

Oooo, [hide]Lysa, you crazy you. That part of the book was disturbing.[/hide]
Also, saw Super 8. If you were a child of the 80s or 90s, you need to watch it. Unless you scare really easily, then maybe not.

I was surprised on some of the events, like [hide]seeing the teacher's barely alive body, with flies on his wounds, the deaths by the alien, etc. The plot seems to be in a way that even without the kids involvement, it would've stayed the same.[/hide]
And is it me, or [hide]all the shown black people died? The teacher gets euthanized, and the guy who did it gets the honor of attempting to put a dart in the alien.[/hide]

I did notice that.
Well, if it's any consolation, [hide]despite being among the string of black people dying, the teacher was still highly intelligent AND a very kind soul, things people would be inspired by. The white colonel was a contemptible jerk in comparison.[/hide]
Considering the theme of the story, [hide]the teacher being black may have been symbolic of the crisis of the alien, in comparison to the civil rights era before.[/hide]
In before "looking into it too much."
