What are you watching? (TV/Movies)

DC takes one of their ok superheroes, Green Lantern, amd makes an ok movie. (Ok at best...)

Marvel takes their lamest hero, Captain America, and makes an amazing movie.

Was he really lame? I mean, he's pretty cool with his only powers being good with a shield and peak human potential (for a comic book human anyway). Plus he kinda more embodies the ideal of America, rather than it itself.

That's the reason I went. I would have gotten my money back if they didn't show it.

He's been called "Marvels' Superman"

He's so perfect and strong and never struggles to do the right thing and I really am not much of a fan. Also when they have him with just a shield, I don't like it. At least when they give him his knife and gun he's believable. The minute it's just him whipping his shield around it gets stupid.

That's the big difference for me between the companies. In my opinion most of Marvels' heroes are real people, who struggle with real issues, while most of DC's are over powered perfect beings that always know what's right.

Well the only good DC movies in the last like 20 years were the newer couple of Batman movies, and Watchmen I guess. And some people liked Superman Returns.

However, those Batman movies are fantastic. I'm a little worried about the new one though, it looks like it's trying to do too many things at once.

Also, I agree. The last Batman movies have been awesome, but the new one's probably gonna pull a Spider-Man 3 :/

I don't like superhero comics that much, though. Only really like The Green Hornet, Batman and the Watchmen.

I liked X-Men as a kid, but I haven't watched/read anything related to it anytime recently. Gambit was the best one, dunno why everyone likes Wolverine so much.
