I think... I think I have to watch Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog. Nathan Fillion, Felicia Day, Neil Patrick Harris, Joss Whedon?! This is too much awesome all in one place for me NOT to watch it. Plus- SING ALOOONG. There is absolutely everything right in that phrase.
EDIT: Oh, and to answer Sir Starfe properly, no, I have not yet read Year One. I have every intention of doing so, though! I'm going to see if we have it at work tomorrow (sigh-won't be able to do that much longer). If not, I shall find some other means of obtaining it as soon as possible! I loved The Dark Knight Returns, even if there was an entire page that I didn't understand because of the mutants' slang. @_@ I didn't shiv.

I feel like I'm one of the only people on the internet who doesn't like Joss Whedon. Or Nathan Fillion, for that matter -- for serious do not get the attraction. Well, not true, I understand he has that look that's popular, but it's definitely not my type at all. And I've never seen a single thing of Joss Whedon's that I've liked.
There. I said it. You can pry my nerd card from my cold dead hands, but it's true.

/pats There there, Kino. I, for one, won't be taking away your nerd credentials.
I'LL LEAVE IT FOR THE GEEK POLICE TO DO. D< *TURNING YOU IN*
But seriously, I do understand. For me, the Joss Whedon/Nathan Fillion love starts and ends with Firefly. I haven't watched Buffy or Angel... I did watch Dollhouse, and was not terribly impressed (Eliza Dushku is so awkward it's painful to watch). I haven't seen Nathan Fillion in anything else (yet). I just adored him as Captain Reynolds. : 3

Dollhouse was awful. Hated Buffy (the actual character. would have maybe been able to suffer through the rest of the show if not for that). Didn't like Firefly at all.
Then again, I'm not generally into sci-fi.

@Ronin - Nah, I wouldn't worry about it.

I'll be honest, I watched Dollhouse for Eliza Dushku.
And then stopped watching it because of Eliza Dushku.
Staff cred only goes so far; it can make me perk my head up and look your direction but it won't save your show in the end.

I liked that chief programmer guy. He was really cute. Too bad they .
The ending was lololtarded.
I actually found the general premise interesting. It was at least a decent time killer to watch with my husband; we could make fun of it together.

I never really got that excited about Whedon stuff. Then again that's not really the kind of TV I watch. That said, his involvement in movies and comics is something I can usually appreciate.
But I love Dr Horrible with all my heart. Knowing that there is going to be more makes me so happy.

Topher Brink! That was his name. Yeah, I'm all over that adorable nonsense.
@Kimiko
They're a bunch of actors and one director/producer (Joss Whedon) who tend to work together and make sci-fi TV shows and a few movies. Nathan Fillion is your typical strong-chin "hunky" guy and Felicia Day is a redheaded nerdlust target. Eliza Dushku is, for whatever reason, used over and over by Joss Whedon despite not being a good actress. I'm gonna suspect it's because of her big sultry lips and curvy body.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer is Joss Whedon's most famous TV series. It ran in the mid to late 90s and garnered a cult following. He also did Firefly, a wanna-be Star Trek show that nerds get a massive hard-on for and cry buckets over the fact it was canceled after one season, or two, hell if I know I'm not a shitty TV show historian. Anyway, that's who the people we're discussing are, no, you don't need to know any of this.

It was RC who asked about Whedon and Fillion though, not me. I watched a few seasons of Buffy back in the day (started during s3, continued up to s6; three guesses why I watched).
