During the first quarter of grade 8, I started a Runescape craze and everyone played that every second of their free time. After the class was transferred, we played Super Smash Brothers and Bomberman every day instead. I remember times where we weren't supposed to be inside, but four of us would hide in a closet until the caretakers were gone and go back to playing until class resumes and act like we just got back really early. Surprisingly, that was one of the most well behaved highest performance classes that school had ever seen. It's not like we did our work as quickly as possible with minimal effort to go back to playing, it was just a mix of having a good teacher and remaining positive!

Hello from the library, between classes.
I've just printed off 200 pages of articles that I need to read. Also, yesterday I got 15 books on antebellum women that I need to skim and raid for MORE sources. I've got to pick my topic by Monday. Oh, and read that 500-page book... but I'm thinking I'll just read the relevant sections/ and skim the rest. We're not going to be tested on it, it's just background to get us started on our papers.
I just can't decide what I want for my thesis. I'm started to be tempted by perhaps angling my paper towards a gay/lesbian study -- it'll be MUCH harder to find sources, though, and there's no specific reason to focus on the antebellum period.
I'll probably go with some sort of analysis of the origins of women's activism, the changing role of women, and early feminism. A bit vanilla, but there is a plethora of sources.

Update:
I decided to do my paper on Women and Family within Early Mormon Polygamy. (pre-1890s, when the official LDS church renounced the practice)
I'll be looking at the reactions of women who were in previously monogamous relationships, couples and women who were newly converted, but especially at families that were formed a generation after the Nauvoo revelations.
