*looked it up* 'Étais' is the past tense of 'être'. So that wouldn't fit in that sentence for two reasons.

Also, I think in this case it would be "des yeux bleus". Or just avoid all the troublesome stuff and phrase it like "mes yeux sont bleus".. :)

Yeah, it's a pain to do the accents .. I only have the alt code for é memorized.

Maybe it's a case of the information being presented "wrong" at first, since the example sentence I gave are what we have been learning and what was on the most recent test.

We've been doing pronouns like crazy:

Je m'écoutais quand je me parlais.
