I took the SATs just 'cause people were telling me "all colleges look at them" and pretty much 'cause all my friends were freaking out about them and it just felt like something I should do, too.

To show how little it fazed me, I don't even know what I scored on it.

And fuck it all - I made that post on April 30 saying I had put the application in, but I actually didn't get around to it until tonight. Damn me to hell... if paperwork is delayed and shit falls from the sky I'll get what I deserve when I get a bill from my student loans expecting me to start paying up.

I don't even wanna know how much that bill is going to be IF that happens. x_x; I just pray that it doesn't and I don't have to worry about not being able to pay it.

Colleges around here take the ACT, but colleges in the northeast and actual "good" schools want the SAT. I wish I'd taken it, but my parents weren't going to allow me to attend any other college than the one I'm current attending. I wanted to apply to out-of-state schools but, noooooooo....

*sigh* Oh, well.

Going to enroll for the summer/fall here in an hour. I'm worried because like NOTHING I need is being offered. I was trying to squeeze a European Studies minor into my degree, but that means there's a list of like 12 classes I need and none of them are being offered except in Tulsa, which is a nearly 90 minute drive away.... Maybe I'll just say fuck it and fill my schedule with bullshit courses. Who knows.

How'd your test go, Rain??

I'm at 15 pages. YAY! I need to go back through and put in all my footnotes. I figured it'd be way faster to just write out my first draft, then go back and insert details like dates and names that I couldn't remember. But for the first time I'm feeling less panicked. Like I'll actually get this done without having to be awake until 5am (which I have totally done with essays before) It really helps that I did my research early and I actually like my thesis. I'm getting into the easy part of the essay now, which is discussing the motivations for women entering plural marriage and the type of women who entered such marriages.
