Decent english collection? Local Library? heh... no such luck...
I order them, from Bol.com
(for those not dutch, it's a dutch site for ordering things like books (both dutch and english), music, games and some hardware too... though it isn't exactly the cheapest, it has a steady amount of customers).
Ebay has it's merits too... as does archonia.com (for manga and anime)
Personally, I hate libraries. I want to own a fresh copy of a book I want to read... not one that has passed through dozens, if not hundreds of different hands.
This, of course, means that I do own several books that I would never have bought, had I known the contents. Oh well, that's life.

I much prefer buying a book new, mainly because I'll feel dirty touching a library book, what with all of the things it's touched...and all of the things that've touched it.
And knowing my luck, I'd probably get mono or some other odd disease from it.

Herpes or bust.
...wrong kind of book?

I'm actually not totally sure what that would entail.
I do love libraries. My current joy is getting DVDs from the library, although the selection is very small.
I love library books as well, especially when I get them from the new arrivals section. I love buying books as well... from new bookstores or used ones. Old books have so much character and charm to them. I'm obsessed with keeping them in good shape, though.
Ahh books <3

Well, I am doing year 12 at the moment, doing the IB course and studying HL Maths, HL Physics, HL Chem, English and Japanese.
Final exams are this november, and i still have no idea what i want to do in (or after) uni.
(Oh, and HL is Higher Level, which is basically more, and harder, you have to take at least 3 HL subjects.)

fucking school >_<
so I didn't get my bill until July 14th. I got to the school to see if they have processed my financial aid and to see what it covers.
"Oh we sent you some stuff int he mail that we need for your file."
"I never received anything...."
"Yeah.... here's the form..."
*week later*
"So about my financial aide."
"Oh, well, we haven't processed it yet. Since you didn't get it in before the 1st..."
"I DIDN'T GET MY BILL UNTIL THE 14TH."
"We sent you the form but you never turned it in until last week."
"YOU NEVER SENT ME ANYTHING!!" (I LIVE NEXT DOOR TO THE DAMN SCHOOL!!! >_<))
"Well, we can't guarentee that it will be in by next week (when my bill is due). Go to the business office to talk to them about your bill."
"We want you to get ona payment plan to pay the first payment of your bill to keep your classes."
Supposedly I'm suppose to be getting enough money from aid to COVER my things - NO PAYMENT FROM ME. So, I'm thinking.... "Umm, what if I say no, what happens then? Can I re-register for my classes?"
"Yes but we can't guarantee your seats"
My classes are second semester classes AND they are stupid javascript and other html shit - I've checked the filled seats out of curiosity before and confirmed that it's going to be very small classes.
"Fuck that then, I'll just take my chances and re-register if I have to."
>_< I'M NOT PAYING $300+ THAT I WILL PROLLY NOT HAVE TO PAY IF MY SCHOOL GETS OFF ITS ASS AND DOES ITS JOB!!!
