Sampson speaks as one who is experienced in this matter. Very experienced. ^_^
I'm the same way. T-T
:3 Except that with english, I know I can usually get away with it.
I once had a four page essay due for a high school class. I didn't do it for some reason I've long since forgotten. Our lunch breaks were thirty minutes long. ^_^ I went to the school library and worked on it the entire time and got done with it all with time to spare. And got it back with a 97 written on it with at least one or two areas that were marked as "well thought out".
Pfffft, if only she knew. If only. :3 It was all top of the head bullshit. I was thinking "meh, 70 is better than 0". I can't even remember for what story it was for. I think something like about two boys who had a friendship but the one was jealous and threw him out of a tree or something. Meh. I don't even remember what the title was or what the content of the essay was suppose to be.
<_< It was one of the reasons I stupidly decided to try my hand at AP English, though. Which probably would have worked out if the teacher didn't have something against me. Damn bitch.

Procrastination is something every student is amazing at. I wrote a speech + presentation this morning and pretty much gave it impromptu around noon today; I'm comfortable with last minute things. Then again, it was a refutation speech over a previous speech I already gave (Racial Diversity) so most of it was stuff I have internalized and know by heart.
Also wrote a 20 page term paper last week during Monday afternoon; I feel bad since it's on a relatively serious topic for me (topic of Marriage in the media) but, at the same time, it wasn't extremely difficult to write either.
For the curious, I specifically focused on the view of Marriage used through the idea of fake marriages/relationships; Dexter Morgan and Rita Bennet of Dexter was the primary inspiration for the paper topic and most my other media examples were merely used to introduce concepts provided through it.
I think we've all experienced this phenomenon during our academic careers. ^^;
EDIT
True story, somewhat relevant:
I submitted one such paper barely on time after pulling an all-nighter. I realised when re-reading it days later that I had been even sloppier than I expected for such a rushed piece, leaving chunks of outline undeveloped and even forgetting to remove notes. To my surprise, the paper was returned to me with glowing comments and a request to submit it on my behalf to an annual essay competition at the college. Wtf, right?
I forgot about it until I received a cheque in the mail several weeks later along with a letter from the selection committee. I won the damned thing. Srsly. Come on, people, it wasn't even all in fully-formed sentences. It still puzzles me today.
(It was about animal rights, btw.)

Today and for the rest of the week I'm TAKS (Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills) TESTING!!!!
Did Math today, wasn't THAT hard, only stumped me on one question, I think I did very well on it.
Tommorrow I take the SCIENCE PORTION..... LOVELY.... Science is usually my weakest when it comes to TAKS, because I can never freakin' remember my biology class (I still have my Chimistry and Physics notes, so no prob), but when 70% of the test is bound to be Biology, what can you do!? Crap...
Then Friday is the Social Studies portion, which will be okay because I can study. woot.
I hate my school sometimes, but on weeks like this, after everyone is done testing, most teachers allow me to play my Nintendo DS, which is nice of them.
