I'm at 20161 words now. Good progress.

I was planning on making some OMG-PROGRESS this weekend... and then I got stuck with another huge VB project due Wednesday that will probably take up most, if not all, of my weekend. OTL

I keep slogging along with the word here and there, though.

D ; COURSE PAPER? Why does all this suff have to be inNovember! This SUCK. ; o ;

I have a C project due at the end of the month

A research paper and presentation done in a language I have only spent 2 years learning due halfway through the month

And I have 2 midterms.

o_o I'm... blocked.

Not a typical writer's block, though. I know the next piece of my story. I know it like the back of my hand. It's a piece I've carefully sculpted and been eager to fit in the book except that at the moment... it's too cruel.

I think I'm being very cruel to one of my characters. Maxine is my main character but at any day of the week if I had to choose a favorite out of all my characters, Amar would win.

Except that I've given him the ugliest story out of all my characters. His father abuses him. He knows he has to return to his father to report in - especially when he is so close to his house. So, he has to leave Maxine who he has come to value as a friend, even if he has not quite understood and accepted that.

He plans to go home and stand up to his father and tell him that he's done. He's not going to do what he was sent out to do. <_< But the main villain is there and... well, it doesn't go like he had planned out. He gets viciously beaten up and it's really just a generally ugly scene. It's an important scene since it causes him to betray his friends and sets up everything for the climax.

T-T But... god... I'm really not in the mental state of mind to want to write this scene. I'm so sorry Amar. Why did I give my precious Warlock such a harsh fate. It's also a very hard subject to write about. Boiled down, I'm writing a chapter on the abuse of a 13 year old by a parent. It's downright disgusting. I want to take Emille (the father) and bash him into a thousand bloody pieces. ... :[ I have no plans for Emille ever returning into the stories but maybe I should rethink that... maybe that would give the inspiration I need to get through this chapter.

... Maybe right now I should write up a very bloody aside story to at least keep my word count going, keep me writing, and then just move on when I think I'm ready.

Why the hell did I put this into this story. *mutters* Also as I write about Maxine's own experiences, I find that I keep sticking my own author views into the story about teachers and the problem of bullying. I need to stop doing that. o_O; I had to clean up a few sentences that Kriss said because it wasn't Kriss it was me speaking. Gaaaah!! >_<

Ugh. I think I give up.

Normally I like hurting my characters, but not in a malicious way. Just the sorta way of putting them into some unpredictable predicament and seeing how they will struggle through it. This is just degrading torture.

Think of how strong they will be when they come out of it
