Not sure what she's going for but I will say I'm tired of stories with gays, lesbians, transgenders, etc. that uses them for the sheer shock and awe factor as opposed to weaving them into anything poignant. "Look, he's gay! ISN'T THAT DRAMA?!" No, you hacks, it's not.

Edit: Really, I don't see the point in it one way or the other, in a sense. That sounds terrible, I suppose, but I'm not sure how to word it a better way. Really doesn't change how I read and feel for a character based off of them (race, gender, sexual orientation, eye count, whatever) as, y'know, it's the character themselves that matters more than a label.

You know, the webmaster that hosts this totally kewl forums where you are free to fully express yourself and all your interests and are not afraid of being trolled or anything like that. You know, the webby that loves chatting about yaoi as much as Kino, and loves gay wizards, and will probably be the first to buy one of her books. And has also been nothing if not very sympathetic to ALL of the posts you've ever made when you have discuss your own sexual orientation?

What's with the burn like that? That's not what my point was at all. >_< Geez, that really just annoyed me. What the heck was with that. I make a post and instead of being sympathetic, if not "are you ok Maxine" you jump onto me?

<_< *sigh* I just meant that I kinda just, a little selfishly, want some more attention ascribed to some of my story ideas, but that also I wish that some of you could/would possibly branch out and try other genres. Ugg, forget it. It probably was an aweful comment and I didn't mean anything by it and I'm shocked and just a little hurt that that was the reaction I got, even if it was a "wtf Maxine" comment.
