Oh, I wasn't trying to get into a religion discussion, I just wanted to post that for Maxine's peace of mind. Hope it helped.
Maxine and Kino, my handwriting is also not very readable, and it's slightly embarrassing to admit, but I'm happy that other girls don't always have neat handwriting - one of my friends made fun of my "ungirly" handwriting and it grated on me. My writing is extremely tiny, which my boss pokes at me for. My letters are very slanted and curvy, and I tend to lift up off the line of the page.
I want to try handwriting some of the time to see if it's more relaxed. I have such a thing about privacy that I feel comfortable using my computer.
Now that I have my computer back (*knockwood*) I plan to jump back into my writing as quickly as I can. I'm super excited about it.
I have a fun question. Anyone use any kind of writing software? I was using a journaling software for a while to organize entries of writing bits, brainstorm, etc, and I liked it. Or do most people here tend to use plain ol' Word?
@Kino: You bet I'm going to keep reading! What you say about not having people to talk with about gay fiction/gay wizards is the same problem I have, and it's lovely to have someone just as enthusiastic about this type of thing as I am! Plus, you have a ton of experience and know-how, and all of your recommendations to me have been phenomenal!
The last book I ordered isn't gay fiction (I have to tell you about it, though - book one of the Parasol Protectorate), but I have a big list to go through after this one. I'm thinking of getting Magebound next.
I'm currently working on a brief story - not sure how long it will be - that features a gay romance. I'm pretty psyched about writing it!
