Thursday was the last day I ever had to take gym, it's only mandatory up to grade 10 here.
HIGH FREAKING FIVES ALL AROUND I hate every single aspect of gym.

well let's get back to the actual topic, which is writing.
Have any of you used your real-life experiences in your writing?
I usually twist the maxim of "write what you know" into "know what you write" and do thorough research so that by the time I'm ready to write it is something I know.
That being said, I've never based a character off myself* or used elements of my own life in a story.
*[hide]I'm not counting my first shitty novel's heroine... she was based on my RP character, who in turn was based on Sailor Saturn, who I just happened to resemble... and may or may not have purposefully chosen to resemble[/hide]

used to write about me but I found that my writing would turn out to be self gratifiying or depressing. I recently started to create characters with backgrounds and base what happens based on their percived world. Add a dash of random human error for good measure.
