@Trifkin:
Writing is EXTREMELY fun. When it's not fun, you are doing something wrong. The thing is everyone has their own different techniques and styles. What's fun for me isn't fun for someone else or will work for them.
I write in a haphazard fashion and it requires LOTS of clean up. I remember even in my journalism class my teacher looked at my notes and draft and was like "having an off day?" I hate it when someone reads my first drafts because I think it's a bad reflection on my writing. I just sit back and let my mind wander and go where it wants. Sometimes I spend an hour or more on something and it's golden, other times I trash it (and I've discovered that I'm actually one of the few people that will actually accept such a loss and "trash" their work. I never get attached to what I've written down, just the ideas. Seriously if my document crashed and I had to rewrite pages I would be momentarily miffed but I'm sure the writing would come out much better). Seriously, I've spent the past week on this Dragon Will document and I already know even as I type it out and spend the energy on it - it's going to get trashed. I will reference it and learn off of it, but there's no way in hell I'd ever let anyone see it, let alone make it to final draft.
:3 Point is, just try writing and finding a way to make it enjoyable for you. You don't always have to sit down with notes and a story outline already pre-written or a clear idea where you are going. There's no reason to ever feel so restrictive. However if that's the way you find writing the most fun, that's good, too.

So, I was randomly browsing music and suddenly I had the jolt of energy needed to write HoodShipping despite my friend being angry with me and might not le tme use her character--I just won't publish it until we patched things up.
Basically, I suddenly remembered my friend saying was HoodShipping's themesong. It fit those two so well, and then this all happened. It's one of my feel good songs, like Pollyanna and other Mother songs. XD Howeve, HoodShipping is a planned Trilogy (ending with Bunny at 19 years old) and with me currently having about half of HoodShipping written, HoodShipping II is also being formulated. This whole fight with my friend was a setback and well...
I totally have that burst of energy needed to write again... XD Am I weird for having so much sentiment for a story I'm not actually trying to write? I suppose it might be what a friend of mine told me awhile ago: Your best story is the one your heart is in. Bunny's story is full of it. XD Its bad to not separate yourself from your characters, but... There's a reason Bunny is my favorite character out of them all. [/url]
