I finally wake up with recollection of the dream I had (first time in months I have been able to remember anything good) but of course it happened in the deep ocean, which is where my mind keeps all the horrifying things
This time, I was in a small submersible that could TURN INTO A CAR. My best friend and one older person were in there with me. We went waaay down to a deep part of the sea floor, into this gaping hole in the earth's crust, and there were probably giant sharks and stuff down there, in the unfathomable blackness.
We got to the point where we could go no deeper without the water pressure destroying our craft, but we found a cave in the side of the shaft, and of course we had to go inside.
Eventually we reached a dead end, but above us appeared to be a bubble of air, which was ridiculous at such depth. As we went up to investigate, the bubble turned out to be the surface of a pool in a huge cavern. Turning on the lights, we realized we had stumbled upon a sort of pocket ecosystem. Deep-sea plants and animals had evolved specifically to live in that cavern. There were things that looked like slimy hairless wolves, and big spiky dragon things, and turning off the lights, everything glowed in spots like the luminescent fish they were probably descended from.
For air to exist that deep down, it had to be of incredible pressure, and if I opened the sub's hatch we would likely implode. BUT IT TURNS INTO A CAR
There was a sequence where the slimy fish wolves surrounded our craft in the horrifying darkness while howling insanely and you could see their eyes and they almost ate us but we killed them with fire that of course ended up destroying the whole pocket of life down there, like one of those old movies where people find a lost dinosaur continent that ends up sinking beneath the sea
We went back to the surface and my dad bought us cheeseburgers
