wooo!
too bad my L40 Ikurakun dies in one hit from the bosses in the secret dungeon! maybe i should have given her the craft shield skill after all!
gamefaqs is dead, am i the only one still playing this game?
also, 16 slots for the guild is great but there are less than 16 ultimate weapons to be found in the game unlike in EO, which i think is a really crappy design decision. unless you can buy them at some later point in the secret dungeon or they drop off of later enemies, which i doubt.

I wonder if this game will ever be localized to the USA. You guys talk about it and things, and I wonder how do you guys read Japanese?

pfft... beginners at best - Zeta has no experience and I'm sure a few others are the same. Trance seems fluent.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but this has always been my perception of everyone.

I hope this game gets localized so all those non-Japanese savvy fans out there get to play it
The only reason I can even figure out what's going on or where to go is because of all of the time I spent memorizing Japanese characters ^_^;;
Zeta's comprehension of Japanese characters:
Katakana: Pretty well known (98%)
Hiragana: Not so much (about 60%)
Kanji: You're joking, right? (3%)
I probably know as much Japanese as a native speaking preschooler, and even that's pushing it XD

I know hiragana enough to the point that I can distinguish it when beside kanji, but, while I have a few memorized, I don't know all the phonetics by heart, and then even once I DO manage to sound out one of the words - what the hell am I going to do with it? Unless its Arigatou, Gomen, or Ohayo sorta words, forget it - I'm lost.

Note:
Playing Japanese Pokemon games is laughably easy as long as you memorize your Kana.
That is, if it wasn't already easy to play without knowing Japanese XD

Do want
BTW, I am still updating . Possibly minor spoilers to be found, possibly crappy translations, YMMV.
Soundtrack = 4CDs, preorder bonus = foil packaging, nothing special. I've put in an order (through cdjapan this time around). Should be good. Let's see if I get the preorder bonus this time!!!`

@Japanese
I know both katakana and hirigana, although I'm rusty on them. I know maybe 2 dozen kanji. As for grammar/vocab... very rusty. I can identify parts of speech and put together some simple sentences, but that's about it.

@Maxine: I am not fluent but I know somewhere in the 1000s worth of kanji.
@ZetaBladeX13: Ok, the deal here is that Pokemon DOES NOT use kanji. If it were to use kanji, we would have a LOT of complications. Let's take some examples.
火炎放射 (かえんほうしゃ) or Kaenhousya, means Flamethrower. In parentheses next to the kanji is how it appears in the game. Here are some more examples:
憾み (うらみ) or Urami, means Spite.
10万ボルト (10まんボルト) or Jyuumanboruto, is Thunderbolt
電気ショック (でんきショック) or Denkishokku, is Thundershock
大爆発 (だいばくはつ) or Daibakuhatsu, is Explosion.
自爆 (じばく) or Jibaku, is Self-destruct.
@Mishy: I learned the language myself.
