So much kanji hate

I like those dudes personally. Once you learn more, you'll have an easier time reading those than you would reading long-ass strings of kana. It is a lot of work to learn, though.

PS: Also, this is hella old news but the joyo list is getting some new additions, and five obsolete kanji are being purged.

I never even realized that 誰 was never part of the joyo list (that's surprising considering how common it is), but it will be soon it seems. Anyway, if anyone is attempting to learn the joyo kanji (for the JLPT or whatever) you should definitely take a look at the new ones.

Anyway, I beat the EX dungeon boss

It definitely wasn't on the level of Primevil nor Ur-Child, though. The boss ...

In retrospect I could have redone the princess build but I didn't feel that it was necessary to lose five levels -- what would I get out of it, a few points in STR?

I restarted this game again this morning since a) I didn't get very far in my original playthrough, and b) I forgot most of what happened when I did play it.

Anyway, any suggestions for a solid, we-can-handle-just-about-anything party? Or does the game remain so easy that it doesn't even matter?

I made one of each class, but I'm rocking a rogue, a knight, a mage, and a healer, primarily. Seems like an okay group so far, but I dunno how well rogues hold up towards the end of the game.

Thanks for the feedback, Midrange! I took your advice and rotated a fighter into my party in place of my rogue. Kinda liking this team better.

Thankfully I'm still not that far in, so I should be able to get him caught up within a short period of time.

semioldnews: I remembered that there were furigana in the instruction manual, and that i had been planning to look through it at some point, and then i remembered that all the skill names also had furigana readings in the manual! So I updated the samurai skill tree accordingly -- both mine, and the one on wikidot.

Anyway i am posting b/c i had the crazy thought of starting a new game and leveling to 99 on flowaro seeds BEFORE reaching the end of the prologue.

I think this is a pretty radical idea and also totally awesome but I don't really know if it is a good thing to do at all ever. I'd run with SKPP to try and increase the EXP output but that is certainly quite a lot of waltzing in the flowaros. Also it would be horribly gamebreaking and i dont' know if the hilarious entertainment value is worth the hours spent impolitely trampling all over the flowaro fields.

If you're like me and level grind like you're playing Disgaea, you shouldn't have any problem accomplishing such a feat XD
