the worst thing is when I am watching my best friend playing a game and he is just rushing through everything
I can't play Uncharted 2 for myself, so when he was just RUSHING THROUGH this huge and beautifully detailed village (which both of us were seeing for the first time) I kept telling him to stop and play soccer with some kids, or to look behind a building, or something, because the guy he was following could wait...and he wasn't even swiveling the camera around...

Having gotten every ending in every Metroid game, I do not mind rushing through it. But the context is different entirely. An action game with little in the way of story, and that is only after I have played it thoroughly to learn of all the power-up locations and master any of the techniques.

I take over 100 hours to complete most RPGs too. Even the ones where I don't care to get all the tedious secret weapons and stuff like the Final Fantasy games.

^This.
Unless it's Disgaea. In which case, add about 700 more hours XD

I cannot imagine spending 700+ hours on a single game.
(edited for typo)

Before Disgaea, I couldn't imagine an RPG with a level cap of 9999 either.
Then they went ever farther, allowing you to infinitely reincarnate your character back to level 1 and repeat XD
