Good to know, maybe I'll try it! It's not really the spiciness for curry, my parents both make it really mild, it's just the... I don't know, curry flavor I guess lol.

Nah, I get that. Indian and Thai curries are totally different than Japanese ones. And then there's the curry essence itself; my father doesn't like any kind of curry.

Oh, dammit! I'm looking at the recipe I plan to use tomorrow, and it doesn't call for Tumeric.
I have a bottle of organic tumeric now for no reason.
...what the fuck can I use this for?

I just googled it and, apparently, it's spelled turmeric... THE MORE YOU KNOW
So... it's a root... looks kind of like ginger, and I have a bottle of it all ground up.

Welcome to the world of Asian spices.
Where I am from, that is a pretty common spice. Used to marinate chicken/meat with or to make as gravy. Or if you wanted yellowish dishes
