Recipe success!

Pepper steak stir fry with steamed rice.

1 lb thin cut sirloin, slice into strips
4 oz mushrooms, chopped
1 cup bell peppers
1 tbsp soy sauce
3 tbsp cornstarch
1 14oz can beef broth
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp chili sauce

Stir-fry beef until thoroughly cooked and beginning to reabsorb juices. Sprinkle with garlic powder and pepper. In a small bowl combine cornstarch with soy sauce and just enough beef broth to make a smooth liquid. Add the rest of the broth to the pan, cover, and simmer beef 10 minutes. Add mushrooms and bell peppers and simmer 20 minutes more.

Add to cornstarch mixture the chili sauce and ginger. Mix thoroughly. Add to the beef and cook for just a minute, to thicken. Serve over steamed rice.
