You know, I've never really thought about this before, but why did mr. Picard on ST:TNG always ask for "tea, earl grey, hot"? I mean, if you wanted ice tea, you'd ask for "ice tea" instead, and "hot" should be the default for "earl grey" tea anyway. It would make much more sense to specify the size of the glass I think. I know I don't always want to drink a full glass of the size I have here (300ml).

Some people want their tea warm, but not quite at boiling point, you know? There are variables that must be specified!

Speaking of tea, I nabbed some ginger from my healing supplies even though there is no medicinal purpose. The thing with using ginger in any sort of raw form, is trying to find the balance between burning agony and awkward-tasting-water. I think this cup came up just right.

Powdered ginger with sugar? I bought that once at a toko (Asian food shop) when I was trying to find ginger tea. It tastes awful. I'll have to try drying some fresh ginger myself some day so I can make ginger tea.

As for medicinal purposes, ginger works great against nausea.

Yes! Ginger is a simple solution to about half of the common stomach problems people have, as well as many other illnesses and health problems. I always keep a reasonable stock handy.

There is still a pizza, chicken balls, spring rolls, crackers, and a multitude of other things left over from last night. Is there any reason to prepare dinner today?

I don't think ginger does much for excess stomach acid (aka heartburn) though, which is more common than nausea.
