I'm just familiar with it as EVOO for the short-hand (and a restaurant named it, actually), not actually from her. Oddly, regular olive oil I'd just type out but that whole extra virgin part added to it means "NOPE GOTTA SHORT-HAND IT"

I'd presume Ragelope is just venison so probably something simple and aromatic on the meat preparation itself (personally, pan sear it with butter and cook medium rare while basting with garlic, rosemary, maybe thyme) and serve with some kind of demi-glace (mushroom sauce with some kind of sweetness like berries, perhaps).

...

But that's also stupid amounts of complicated really. Fuck it, pan sear to crust the outsides, broil to finish, and garnish with a nice bed of veggies.

In other news, I have been drinking a glass grapefruit juice every day this year. This is a really big change for someone who is used to only drinking water and tea, but overall I feel healthier.

What a treat. I taught them how to make Vietnamese salad rolls, and in return they made some for me. Then I go to eat it and...



Plum sauce. Cold, detestable plum sauce inside of a warm salad roll. That is absolutely disgusting. Just because you drench your food in that disgusting vomit-like substance, that does not mean you need to start placing it inside of the dish. You know I never put anything on my food, and you know I hate plum sauce and ketchup in particular. I have drank several glasses of grapefruit juice, brushed my teeth and thoroughly swished some mouthwash and I still feel on the verge of expelling my stomach.
