Just a little while ago I had a blast to the past.
Back when I was like 5, my grandmother used to make me some cinnamon raisin toast topped with butter, sugar and more cinnamon, and I loved it. I made some earlier and nostalgia'd all over the place.

We did that as kids too! I'm having that for breakfast tomorrow.

Barbecue time, it was super tasty and so nice to use. Mushrooms, zucchinis, bell peppers, shrimps, beef, chicken, scallops, liver... it was awesome and there are leftovers.

Made it yesterday, with puff pastry and 12 big apples. A Tatin-like tart, since the apples were caramelized minus the upside-down thing. The texture and taste were great: crispy with soft and sweet apples :3

I tried to imitate the Japanese curry rice you see in anime by using ragout (which is also roux with meat, right?) plus veggies (should be onions, carrots and potatoes, but I didn't have those specifically) plus curry and turmeric (and some of the other spices that appeared in online recipes).

It was probably not much like the real thing, but it tasted pretty good actually. I can see why people would want to eat it weekly.

I think the roux is what makes it different from the ready-made curry you can buy here. And the lack of pineapple and raisins of course. I don't get why they always add those.

I stick to a very strict diet of "sour patch kids" and ramen (not at the same time though, that's gross.)


I do eat other much more healthy things but those 2 are my favorite unhealthy things.

One time as a kid I ate a whole big bag of them in one sitting. The stomach ache went away the next day, but my mouth was raw for a week. I don't eat them anymore.

Those delicious little bastards taught me self control.
