At Shortcake's, the local greasy spoon, a Short Stack is 2 pancakes and a Tall Stack is 4.
But still.
Waffles with waffle syrup that is cold and sweet and thick, not hot and runny. YUM.

I just can't eat more than one—maybe one and a half—standard North American style pancake. Too filling. I don't quite understand how some people can eat three or four. I also prefer waffles and crepes.
