I was too sick to go to OKC yesterday, so I'm out of bottled tea and noodles. ;__;
Yesterday I ate nothing but chicken noodle soup and didn't really feel a desire to eat, but yet still felt the gnawing ache of hunger. Today I am craving something really spicy.
Pho would be perfect. I once again curse the fact I have to drive an hour just to acquire it.

Yes, OKC = Oklahoma City, or just "the City" depending on the context. Most everyone I know just refers to it as the City/OKC rather than its full name. Anytime you hear me mention "going to the city" I'm talking about driving to OKC, where the Super Cao and the Pho restaurants reside.
You'll also hear "Metro area" being tossed around by the news team, as in "The tornado will pass north of the metro area" or "You can find this at metro area stores" etc.
My fiance never came by to visit me at the bookstore, so no lunch for me ;__; I wonder where he went? (Answer: to his best friend's house, I'm sure of it, but still... I'm hungry!!)

Hmm. I'm not quite sure if "Barney Rubble" is actual Cockney slang so much as its from Ocean's 11. Now, "Barney" has been a Cockney word for "trouble" or "row" or "fight" since before the Flintstones even aired, the explanation given in the movie is something of a cop out given that tracing the exact origins of Cockney words can be a bit difficult. Though I do believe since the movie came out people have retconned the "Barney Rubble" explanation as fact. Oh how language does change.
