It's weird. For people who came from Higurashi to Umineko...
There's an immediate connection of trust to Bernkastel and contempt and hatred to Lambdadelta. Yet, everything in Umineko points towards Bernkastel being a gigantic bitch who toys with people and Lambdadelta being the ... less bitch-y of the two. Hell, there's even a retcon of Higurashi of "Bernkastel was bored, Lambdadelta was granting a wish."
Now? Trollkastel be trolling.
I'm contemplating putting Game 7 completely off until I have the translation patch instead of just play through it translating on the fly and/or reading spoilers/summaries/etc. >> Meh, we'll see ... tomorrow, I guess.

In regards to the spoiler
While I realize that the author has put in these characters and has all but said HEY THIS IS "---" FROM HIGURASHI! It still took me a while to realize who the characters were when the first showed up and for those reasons I was able to put them off as their own characters. And even now with this connected knowledge, I still consider them their own identities.
I understand Ryu's character correlations but I do not 'agree' to them. Probably still not quite right. Just that even though I understand who they are, I do not believe that this is who they are. Bern is Bern, a character in Umineko and is a cameo of a character in Higurashi.
So far from what I've seen as far as I've gotten, I will agree with your statement. Bern is more evil than Lamdadelta. I hold Bern responsible for what she did to Ange. :[

Uh...
Lambdadelta and Bernkastel are both involved in Higurashi. There's Umineko TIPS discussing at great length their involvement in Higurashi.
Bernkastel existed in the Higurashi game's (Bernkastel's Poems, how she appeared in Minagoroshi-hen, her being named in Saigoroshi-hen, and some of her history in the PS2 game, I think?); Lambdadelta was retconned in as the one who granted Takano the power of certainty.
And, well, that Higurashi was another game between Bernkastel and Lambdadelta.
Well, there's probably a misunderstanding somewhere...
Original fan opinions on Bernkastel and Lambdadelta were that the former is good (relation to Rika) and the latter is bad (relation to Takano). This is pretty easy to see since they look like those characters and is the basis of that fan reaction. This is what I was noting; the fans initially went "OH MAN BERNKASTEL HAS TO BE THE GOOD ONE" due to an association to Rika of Higurashi (or even Bernkastel herself, since she was on the "good guy's" side and is the entire reason Higurashi ended in a happy ending); Ryukishi seemingly played off of that and we're now in a position of "...well, fuck Bernkastel."
However, they ARE separate entities. Bernkastel is Bernkastel and Lambdadelta is Lambdadelta; they're not just some "looks like a previous character~" reference. They are not referencing Rika and Takano. Not. At. All. They are very much their own characters. They DID play a role in Higurashi, yes, but not as Rika/Takano but as themselves, Bernkastel and Lambdadelta.
Edit: On an unrelated note, I'd love to see the Seven Sisters Valentine and Beatrice's White Day animated. Even if they'd end up sucking >>

About Higurashi - Sorry for being so stupid! ^^
In the third chapter, about Satoko and her uncle, and everyone dying etc.; I understand that it's just a coincidence that everyone who was wished dead by Keiichi actually died. All of their deaths have been explained.
What I don't get, however, is the fact that, even though Keiichi is sure he killed Satoko's uncle, he was apparantly at the Watanagashi Festival.
Also, Satoko claims her uncle wasn't dead that night - though that could have been just a random old guy, given that she's already at level 3/4 at that time.
Does this have to do with zombis - the ones mentioned in the series ?
Or döppelgangers? Because neither of them are 'used' in other chapters, as far as I know.
K1 did kill Teppei. Mion (and the rest of them) learn that K1 killed him for Satoko and decide to cover for him. The body is moved, alibis are created, etc.
However, by the time Teppei is killed, Satoko is already Level 4 and has begun to see things. She continues to believe Teppei is there.
Oh, my, indeed.
Ep 7
"Cut it out. The maid isn't the culprit."
Evidently, blondie's a guy and is Ushiromiya Leon, Krauss and Natsuhi's first child.
Something tells me this one is fake (it has nothing to do with the fact that that's Battler's head on young Kinzo).
Runon. Ru-ci-fer. Ru-non. Get it?
Manon and Renon.
...Well, most of these are probably fake. But it's better than the false Rosa/Rudolf screens that were floating around earlier.
The issue I have with ...
Blondie/Rion is that there's no way to know his existence from Games 1-4. It's just not possible. You need Game 5 for the existence of TMF19YA. Unless I'm missing some dialogue on Natushi's son that they dropped off the side of a fucking cliff from the Questions arcs.
Edit: Though, now that I think about it, without Game 1-4 proof of TMF19YA, can't really use him in a solution period. Rion/Lion/Leon/etc. as him doesn't really ... change much. Except exclude it from the solution, most likely, following the "solvable with the first four games alone."
Edit2: Plus, is he Natsumi + Krauss' child? Or is he Asumu + Rudolph's child given to Natsuhi? I want to know these things if his role is what the spoilers say. Some of them claim he was accepted in this world ... which makes no sense since that would be change the past. On top of that, there's spoilers with a line about Jessica being his sister which shouldn't be possible either (barring more "Rudolph's children are everywhere" notions).
I hate Umineko release day
Everywhere is lies!
As for the Runon/Manon/Renon bit, it's clever-ish but there's no matching servant for the rest of the sisters. And the images are all Shannon's body with the appropriate sister's head glued on.
...though, this one IS more grounded in reality than some of the others (Asumutrice, Rudolph/Rosa wincest).
