I'm sorry but that's just stupid. Black Friday - Christmas period are some of the best deals you'll see all year. Having to miss a sale during that time and having to buy it later when it's non-sale price is just silly.
Unless there's a money crunch issue, obviously.

That's the thing, Scy. It's always about money-crunch. We don't just buy a few nice gifts. We try to get each other the "perfect" gift. So by the time we actually decide on what to get a person, the sale is probably missed. Also, as much of a big deal as we make bout Xmas Lists in my house, we rarely use them.
The siblings, we get each other one to two gifts (maybe three). Mom and dad go in with a set amount of money and shop through stores off and on. They are the only ones that typically use Xmas lists. And they typically do their shopping in sporadic spurts. Last weekend they did some shopping, this weekend they'll probably get the bulk done. Then the week of, they'll reassess how much money they have and get a few last minute ideas.
Well, there's that and these facts
Dad: HATES shopping online because OMG CREDIT CARD MAY BE STOLEN. (Stuborrn idiot. ...He hates the internet, too. Holy shit! o_o I'm amazed - I actually FINALLY convinced the guy to use Google.com and not Webcrawler.com - the search engine they have been using since we first got the internet back when I was 12. It was shocking to go to his homepage and see GOOGLE. :O I DID IT!! IT'S A MAJOR MILESTONE!! Seriously, you have NO IDEA how monumental this is!)
Mom: ....I have no idea why she doesn't buy things offline. She certainly loves shopping through ebags.com. *shrugs* Maybe I should give it a go. Now that I think about it, I've always taken it for granted that she wouldn't care.
Christina: Loves shopping online and likes to toy with the idea, but there's the "perfect gift" principle and the gifts she usually gets me can't be found online most of the time anyways.
Clarissa: Has no bank card of her own. ...And she babysits. Not exactly a confident source of income. She's about to quit her current job because they owe her $100 and still haven't paid her. She's pretty hot on the subject. I told her, take me or dad with her when she talks to the woman. We'll get the money from the bitch. >_< *cough* that's a separate subject, though.
Me: :3 I'm proud to say that I got Tia's and Rissa's items for sale off Amazon.com HA! .... I'm still sore about Rissa's gift and have to take the one back for her.
To recap: ......I think everyone in my family is probably an idiot, too. :\ Myself included. *sigh*

Anyway, I posted this in the "CURRENTLY PLAYING" topic but figure it's nice to have here:
GameFly deals (ends today):
Iron Man 2 $9.99
Quantum Theory $12.99
Nier $9.99
Wet $12.99
Front Mission Evolved $14.99
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 $24.99
Naruto Shippuden: Clash of Ninja Revolution 3 $12.99
Big Beach Sports 2 $7.99
Also, starting 12 AM PST this Wednesday (i.e., tonight/early tomorrow morning), there's an all-video games Gold Box on Amazon. No clue yet what will be up but I'll update as soon as I know what's in there.
And, finally, Amazon started a buy 2 select games, get $5/$10 off each plus $15/$20 store credit. The following prices are already with the $5/$10 off but the credit isn't factored in.
Noteworthy titles:
Donkey Kong Country Returns $39.99
Disney Epic Mickey $39.99
Kirby's Epic Yarn $39.99
Call of Duty: Black Ops $49.99
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow $49.96
Noteworthy titles:
Super Scribblenauts $24.99
Sonic Colors $19.99
God of War: Ghost of Sparta $29.96
There's some straggler Amazon deals/price drops as well; nothing really super noteworthy for most the people here besides:
Phantasy Star Portable 2 $19.99
In addition, Amazon is doing a $75 store credit on the 160 GB PS3s ($300); to compare, most the awesome Warehouse Deals (basically, "used but never opened" returns) are around the $224 price point and those are up for all of 35 seconds typically. On top of that, Wii's come either at the $177 price (Black) or with a $50 store credit at the $199 price (White).
Wal-Mart has the same for PS3s but with it being a $100 Gift Card on Friday (12/17) though I don't know anything about availability, time (~9 PM EST last I heard?), or basically anything beyond "YOU GETZ $100 BACK." On top of that, they're also doing the same for the Red Wii system with a $75 gift card.
They also have the 250 GB Xbox 360 with a $75 Gift Card (MSRP: $300, not sure if the bundles work for this) from 12/12 - 12/18.
Gamestop is doing their B2G1 on Used Titles, though some of the pricing isn't that great. I know they did a few big price drops recently though so maybe there's some good deals.
Deal ends 12/20/10. Free shipping, no-tax (sans California) on all the following as well (bold for my emphasis):
Deathsmiles SE $19.99
Deathsmiles LE $29.99
Record of Agarest War Pack (Pillowcase + Mousepad + Game) $29.99
Guilty Gear 2: Overture $12.99
From the Abyss $14.99
Heroes Saga Laevatein Tactics $14.99
Jake Hunter: Detective Chronicles $9.99
Jake Hunter: Memories of the Past $14.99
River City Soccer Hooligans $14.99
River City Super Sports Challenge $14.99
World Cup of Pool $9.99
Guilty Gear XX Accent Core $9.99
Guilty Gear Accent Core+ (with CD soundtrack) $14.99
Mimana: Iyar Chronicle (with CD soundtrack) $19.99
Edit: This deserves annoying bolding:
is up with the following titles:
Braid
Cortex Command
Machinarium
Osmos
Revenge of the Titans
For PC, Macs, or Linux distros.
You name your own price so ... it's whatever you feel like spending.

Trying to keep that updated with stock is a pain. Gamefly|Nier keeps going back in and out of stock >>. I just kind of gave up.
That reminds me, though, Bayonetta () is $16 from Amazon. I include the PS3 one for completion sake but, for the love of god, get the 360 version. It just flat out runs better/smoother/etc.
