Pokemon Pearl for my little brother's birthday present. He grew up with my old pokemon yellow game on the gameboy, well after I left the house, and now he wants to go up on 'new' pokemon. He asked me if I could get him Pokemon Pearl for his birthday, so he could trade pokemon with his friend.

I don't even know what the new pokemon are.

I think they fixed how OP'd psychics are, though.

Umm...I know a few people who got back into Pokemon. Yes, Pokemon is very different from before and psychics are balanced out sort of. The system has been made a fair bit more complicated as well. I would not advise trying to catch up on Pokemon now though, especially if you have been out of the loop since yellow version. There are now 649 Pokemon as of black and white so...good luck catching them all.

You don't have to catch them to get credited for completing the pokedex anymore though.

Also Dark type balanced out psychic, by being immune to it.
