I'd rather them start with EO3; EO1 is a bit too outdated and clunky compared to them honestly. The greater chance of them enjoying the franchise as a whole is, really, starting with EO3, not EO1. Though then we get into sequel numbering and "I never played the previous ones, can I start on the 3rd?" thoughts and so on but...
...bah.
Anyway, if Zeta bought it online then, alright, sure, I can see it. If he bought it locally then uh ... that means it's probably been sitting there for awhile anyway that if someone in his area wanted to give it a shot, the opportunity was there.
Honestly, I'd rather look forward to Atlus doing something to entice new people to the franchise (like, I dunno, having a 3DS title ready for near launch to take advantage of the lack of RPGs ... ohwait) rather than placing my hopes on earlier entries in the series causing a spike in interest.

Anyway, my case came in last night and I finally put together my new computer so...:
Case - BitFenix Shinobi Window:
And I'll get a better finished shot tonight but this is before damage control with the wiring (and lol bad flash):
Really should've gotten a modular PSU so the wiring would've been simpler. Everything tucked into the bottom 3.25" bay is basically unnecessary cabling (well, PCI-e power that I'll need down the road when I buy another 6950 to CrossFire >>).
