Since TokyoPop's shutting down at the end of the month, my boss let my co-worker and I place a massive order with HaperCollins for all the manga we want to get before it disappears. She's letting us order them now and buy them gradually over the next few months.

So I picked up two new series. One of them is Silver Diamond, which I heard mentioned around the BL/yaoi community as something worth getting. I haven't read any of it yet, but I like what I've seen so far.





Blondie is a high school student who is a (gay) plant-wizard -- he can make plants grow and control them. The older dark-haired one is some kind of plant-gun wielding warrior who protects him. I think there's a fantasy plant-kingdom that they have to save. Or something. Really, I have no idea. I was sold entirely on "plant wizard" and the cover art. I'll let you know once I've read it.

The other series I'm only getting the first volume to see how I like it. I'm not as into the art of this one as I am Silver Diamond.



NG Life is about a young man who died in Pompeii and has been reincarnated. His wife and best friend from Pompeii have also been reincarnated in the modern era. His wife has been reincarnated as a boy, and his best friend as a girl. I guess there's a love triangle.

Really, it's a win-win situation for me, so I was interested enough to order the first volume. I'll keep you posted.

I looked at my shelf to notice that Strawberry Marshmallow is published by them, well shit.

Ordered the volumes of Strawberry Marshmallow that I was missing, I wonder if anyone else will pick the series up.
