I bought a copy of Tolkien's translation of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight.

Curious if anyone has any recommendations for a good headset?

If I were a more frequent online gamer, I'd probably be looking at the Sennheiser PC 360. I've eyed it before, and although I don't have it myself, I'm sure they're at least as good sound-wise as my HD 238 P, which I'm quite happy with. As for the mic, review tests I've listened to of it sound nice and clear to me. Since I don't own a pair of the PC 360, this isn't a personal recommendation, more like a "maybe put it on your radar" mention.

It's a bit on the pricey side, though, in the same ballpark as the Astro A40. ($230-250)

There's the PC 350 too, which is similar, but it's closed and I'd prefer the open construction of the 360. The 360 also has an integrated radial volume control and raising the boom mutes it, which is a nice touch.

It worked really good up until I spilled pop on it.

I went through two of them, the first one I kept tripping over the cord and falling asleep with it on (I toss around a lot in my sleep) and eventually broke it, the second I spilled pop on, it worked for a week before the acid corroded the wiring.

I need to get new shoes, the backs of mine are wearing out and the soles are coming unglued.
