So far the game is pretty entertaining. Not that I've gotten that far into it, but I'm looking forward to playing it tomorrow. The only thing that really is kinda... off-setting is the priest... who is annoyingly gay (I mean, absolutely OBNOXIOUS). :\ I dunno. It's like... why the hell did they feel the need to throw that into the game?! All of the other characters are wonderful, if not anime-typical.

Voice casting gets a B+. Graphics are gorgeous, though I swear the girls flip and flop their arms too much.

Only other annoying thing that might end up being a minor problem is the animal noises when you start fighting. I actually had to turn down the volume because they were just getting ridiculous.

Still, the game so far is a solid B+ so far. I'm expecting some interesting things. Farming might not be so bad, either. Different, but it's got its own different appeal.

...Also, no shipping box and there's some sort of haggling system in place that I've not been introduced to officially yet (just a brief mention). Still... I keep wanting to dump all of my goodies into a shipping box and realizing "oh.... I have to go sell them manually.... by hand even...."

Oh and not a seriously big deal but still "meh" ... there's like 10+ bachelorettes but only 3 bachelors. ... I'm beginning to think that it is impossible for a Harvest Moon game to create and introduce a good set of bachelors. Still... two of the three that are in place are very cute so if I do feel interested in playing the girl who just feels like a throw-in at this point, I do have at least two good choices.

I say that the girl feels like a throw-in but honestly I'm liking the female character more than the boy who while femme looking comes off as a bit of an asshole sometimes in his interactions. I hope he improves. Because if I go after Violet, she deserves someone SO much better than the male protag. :[

Meh... "best in series" Never. RF3 and RF1 still easily top this game, but it is still a VERY good game and I am enjoying it.

I do still REALLY miss the farming aspects
I mean, sure there is a farming system in place that is KINDA ok but... eh... doesn't feel quite right.

It's ... alright, I guess? I mean, it's more Rune Factory. If that's not enough to make you care then nothing about the game itself really will, personally.

Also, I find it alright visually and the voice acting is C- at best if we're going to throw around letter grades. It's more Rune Factory though so RF/10.

Edit: I see Trails in the Sky. Fuck yeah, Trails in the Sky.

No, Lily is still airheaded. The voice actress just has a subtle way of showing it that I actually like.

But, it's really like Scy says. If you are into the Rune Factory series, you'll probably like the game and be able to tolerate the "meh"s. If not, then just save your money and call it a waste of time.

Visually I still think it's absolutely outstanding, though. I WILL argue that point.

*mutters* Please don't flame or hate me. I just thinking sticking a character in here like this is... really a tragic decision on the game maker's part and I think they are doing more to insult gays than I ever could.

Why was he the only one who got voice acting during that scene. It's really weird how they'll be voiced one line and then suddenly stop, in the middle of the same scene.
