Re: Recent Purchases Thread
*mutters* don't talk to me about fuel inefficiency. I drive my mom's minivan.
A MINIVAN!!!
.... -_-; and then the car I'm claiming as my "own" and repairing is a giant blue VAN. Like the sorta van that they don't even make anymore.
FUCK MY LIFE!! WHY DON'T I JUST START MAKING MY PAYCHECKS OUT DIRECTLY TO MY CARS!!! >_<

@Maxine
Hmmm... I think I will talk to you about fuel efficiency! I just checked fueleconomy.gov and assuming we're talking a 80s era big-box van -- yeah, you got me beat for shittiness by a degree of like 3mpg for city driving -- but the minivan's about par for course... except I get way, way better highway mileage. For whatever weird reason my car gets really great highway mileage. I think it's the Bowser phenomenon. You know, from Mario Kart? Slow acceleration, but fast coasting. I'm a slow-poke whenever I drive around town because I don't stomp the gas pedal as soon as the light turns green -- I like to slowly increase my speed to improve fuel economy. But the car is so low and heavy that it propels itself forward easily, so maintaining speed uses barely any gas.
Oh, and I have to buy premium gas. I bet your mini-van takes plain ol' unleaded regular. That's anywhere from 10 to 60 cents more per gallon.

Re: Recent Purchases Thread
@Kino: Saddly, I'm a bit of a lead foot. -_-; I even stomp on the brake too hard occasionally which I'm sure distresses the person who's driving behind me who's probably like "ok... I'll just back off from this person a little bit, now." Everyone has told me that I don't need to hit the gas pedal so hard and I do try, but I think it's just the way my muscle reacts
.... but that just feels like a pathetic excuse.
>_< I'll try harder.
Also I'm still not that great yet at maintaining a certain speed. I either go too fast and have to brake a bit or I end up going too slow and have to give it more gas. I'm sure this is a factor in fuel consumption as well.
GRRR, I gotta practice being a better driver.

Makes me happy that I made sure to buy a car with good gas mileage.
Now, to get my motorcycle license so I can get even more...

From my experience, death is a small price to pay for the pleasurable experience you will have with your time in the realm of the living on a motocycle.
Looking to have my own before the end of next year, or the year after that.
