Re: Recent Purchases Thread
Been a trip of health and beauty products. I will not go everything, but a few notable ones.
Monoi Miracle Oil
For use on skin and hair. The latter is why I purchased this one. During the winter, I am more likely to be taking steamy hot baths... which are not always that great for hair. This will substitute basically any sort of hair oil (depending on your hair/ethnicity!), but will really curb any damage that may occur from these temperature swings. All it takes is just a little bit. Do not want greasy hair. In general I have been using hair oils quite a bit this year. It allows one to go almost faux-untamed without going frizzy/poofy. The kind of hair styling that results from it is the envy of both the classy and wild alike. Many people want to touch and play with my hair! It is a bit flattering.
Tea Tree Moisturizing Cleanser
Even though I do not really have issues with my complexion... I like to stay on top of this sort of thing. Since it is only natural that I will have to brave the bitter winter air (which is known to make skin dry), it is important that I do not make things worse by using a harsh cleanser. My skin is very fair/soft, as opposed to light/soft or dark/rough. Being on this middle ground is nice in the world of beauty, but it also means I suffer the worst of both worlds if it is not taken care of properly. Thankfully, tea tree oils are very easy on the skin compared to commercial (and CHEMICAL) cleansing products. Also grabbed matching clearing toner to finish up my routine.
Incense
Not necessarily a health product per se, but something worth noting. Price is not bad for the strength, though the smoke is very dark and the ashes charcoal in colour. This means it is dirty and low quality, as high quality incense has a lighter smoke that does not leave any residue. The ashes should be a very light grey. With that said, since the windows are sealed, they must be used in moderation, and preferably with as much burning being done while I am away as possible.
For some reason I forgot how terrible musk is. Part of my job has me selling fragrances. I smell musk all the time, and it did not seem so bad. I began to think perhaps it was just a memory built upon a single bad experience, until I tried one yesterday. It has been nothing but a noxious and displeasing experience. I am going to have to wait until at least tomorrow until it has thinned out enough to try and cover it up something nicer. In the mean time, I think I will tie the musk incense together, light them up, and leave them outside.
I have about two bags of health and beauty products from the past few days, but these are all I will talk about for now.

Re: Recent Purchases Thread
Thought I should mention that Toylet has two auctions for EOIII plushies.
So far, no bids on either of them. Plus, they're starting at just $11 (including shipping).

To anyone who was interested in them earlier, this a great chance to pick up either the Monk and/or Pirate plushies. 1 day, 5 hours left.

Re: Recent Purchases Thread
I regret not buying the princess plush when I saw it before.
Re: Recent Purchases Thread
: O
Those two are the only plushies I've come across. I didn't know there was a princess one!

Re: Recent Purchases Thread
That princess plushie just made me squee. ^ 3^
I bought books yesterday!
Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist (read it in one sitting last night)
The Ethics of Ambiguity, Simone de Beauvoir
A Fire Upon the Deep, Vernor Vinge (I feel a sci-fi mood coming on)
What I Talk About When I Talk About Running, Haruki Murakami
And a rather beat-up copy of Beauty and the Beast, beautifully illustrated by David Chestnutt
