SUIKODEN IS THE SHIT
REMEMBER I BEAT S2 WHEN I WAS LIKE A BABY
Okay baby is an exaggeration but still
Or something. Basically you have an army and you fight off some other force. Not sure how Tierkreis compares to the rest of the series, or if it gets as political, but my friend said it was pretty good. It seemed okay from what I played in the ROM >_>

Like I said, do Disgaea.
The only downfall with Disgaea is the hours upon hours of leveling up you must invest in it, but the characters are funny, the english VA is good (I dunno about the DS version but the original has an option to switch to japanese voices anyway). And it's just a lot of fun.
I just wish I could focus more on it like I want to. I just hop from game to game too fast.

Hmm, Disgaea isn't on my wishlist. Maybe because it's a strategy game? I suck at those.
As for Lux-Pain, I added that back when it wasn't released outside Japan yet. Adventure game on the DS + supernatural stuff = wishlist. Looking over what's said about it online, it seems that the negative reviews are mostly from people who just don't enjoy that genre of games. Stupid reviewers. The trailer and descriptions tell me the game is an interesting mixture of slice-of-life/romance and supernatural mystery. The only flaw mentioned here and there is that the translation isn't very good, with even some spelling/grammar errors. Hmm.. I don't think that's bad enough to offset the attractiveness of the premise and look. I want to find out for myself what this game is like, so I'm not taking it off my wishlist.
ETA: Oh, found a good review at .

Kimiko, I've looked at some youtube videos and read more reviews than I did at first. I think I'm going to keep Lux-Pain and hopefully I'll like it. I'll let you know what I think, but it might be a while since I get to it since my backlog just exploded (6 new games, plus I'm trying to beat Professor Layton, and I'm getting Scribblenauts Tuesday!)
Although now I'm not sure about Devil Survivor... heh. I know it's highly rated and all, but I'm worried about the combat. Looking at youtube videos actually made me question it as a choice. Maybe I'll swap that one for Suikoden or something (then again, it's gameplay videos worried me...)
arrrrgh fuuuuuuuck.... Fire Emblem? GAH I HATE DECISIONS I JUST DONT KNOOOOOOW
