Apparently, according to Irish folklore, it's bad luck to buy a Claddagh ring for oneself; it needs to be given as a gift.

Indeed, negzee is correct. So I must simply wait and hope. I may not be particularly superstitious, but I do like to respect cultural traditions now and then. I also look forward to acquiring one to give to a close friend o' mine.

Haha, I like that idea! XD But it doesn't seem entirely above board... Ah, well.
In other purchase related news, I keep bringing home more books! D: You would think I simply didn't care that I'll be moving in three months. Silly Trifkins and their bookish addictions. : /

I'd be willing to buy it for you. Consider it an early birthday present. (Or if you'd prefer, I could wait until your birthday to get it for you.)

I don't even-
I can't-
O/////O
That's too kind an offer, Reynard-Miri! I couldn't possibly accept. I'm absolute rubbish at accepting favors/gifts. I get all flustered at the mere thought, especially if it involves any amount of money.
Jeez Louise, this place is full of the sweetest freakin' people ever!

That might actually work! Though...
Hmm, but I dunno, Reynard-Miri... "The hands of this sterling silver claddagh symbolize friendship, the heart love, and the crown loyalty. Giving the claddagh forges these bonds forever." FOREVER. Are you sure you could handle eternal gratitude and everlasting friendship?

Would I have offered if I wasn't?

...yes, I probably would have.
edit: Though a potential downside would be that we'd know the address of someone that we're bonded to forever. A bit creepy, that.
