Re: Recent Purchases Thread
So, does anyone here know enough Japanese to tell me whether or not item is in stock and if they will ship to the US?

Re: Recent Purchases Thread
I couldn't find anything useful with Google translate, but it is in stock
Re: Recent Purchases Thread
When you click through to the item listing it says out of stock.
I bet it's on eBay and I just can't find it because the eBay app sometimes mysteriously omits results. I'll have to check with the browser site when I'm feeling less lazy.

Re: Recent Purchases Thread
Don't trust the Google translator when making purchasing decisions.
It once translated the Chinese term for 'bilingual' as 'has English subtitles', when of course the phrase meant that the DVD had Chinese and Japanese audio tracks.
If Google had just used a literal translation, I'd have understood the correct meaning right away, but they don't actually translate what's there, just substitute a sentence with another sentence. That works often of course, or people wouldn't use it, but is rather misleading. For languages like Japanese and Chinese, doing a word by word literal translation usually gives a more accurate result, even if it doesn't read like a proper English sentence.
Yahoo's Babelfish was often better at this than Google's translator, but alas, they have canceled their automated-translation service and are now redirecting to Microsoft's translator, which combines the worst features of the two and is both inaccurate and unreadable.
As for your item, it looks like that site you gave is only the manufacturer or something. They don't actually sell the thing directly themselves. You could try emailing NCSX (they're friendly folks) and asking if they will get it back in stock, or know where to look for it.

Re: Recent Purchases Thread
I bought tp just the other day! Mostly for my .
So I went to a local game shop today and traded in a bunch of stuff. Came home with the following:
ICO (PS2)
Sega Genesis Collection (PSP)
Junior Classic Books (DS)
Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (DS)
Now all that's left is to acquire a GameBoy Advance SP that ISN'T scratched up. Is this quest doomed from the start!? Tune in next week to find out!

Re: Recent Purchases Thread
WAIT ICO IS OUT IN ENGLISH ON PS2?
Damn, I'd be willing to trade you my mostly-not-scratched-up SP for that when you're done.
Any reason not to use a DS, though?

Re: Recent Purchases Thread
No, I mean what would you need an SP for that you couldn't use a DS for? The only thing I knew ICO was on in English is PS3. (The high definition version.)
Re: Recent Purchases Thread
Oh, I see. Haha. No, ICO's been out on PS2 in English forever! I remember playing the demo in Target years and years ago...
And I want an SP 'cause it's backwards compatible for GameBoy and GameBoy Color games, unlike the DS Lite.

Re: Recent Purchases Thread
We'll have to see how un-part-with-able ICO is, but if nothing else I can always just loan it to ya.
