Is it any good? I've been impressed with P3 so far, but not P2.

Not played P2, but if you get P1 thinking it's going to be anything similar to P3 you are greatly mistaken. P3, though it bears the name Persona, was the first of its kind in the series. The only similarities you are going to find between the two titles: demons, demon fusion (which works differently still*), and teenagers.

That's all you get.


This should give you a fairly good idea.

"Is it any good?" First: it's dated. However, if you can get past that hurtle and sit back and enjoy it for what it is, it truly is a really fun game. It's not a masterpiece, but it has its own flair. At times it's also a bit confusing. I could see myself enjoying the game much more on the second playthrough of the game. I'm actually tempted to restart and just put more poor choices out of their misery.

*Demon fusion: You do not "get demons" in this game. You get spellcards. These are useless cards until you fuse two cards, or a card and a party demon, into a demon of your choice. Which means though you just negotiated with a pixie and got her spellcard, you do not actually HAVE a pixie in your party. Also: there is no compendium. You fuse a demon, it's gone forever.

I ordered the second compendium of Walking Dead comics, should come next week. Now I can stop feeling bad about buying Walking Dead comics and not reading them because after reading this I can read the new ones I've bough and be up to date. Also, missed the episode tonight because I don't have the channel for it, I'll have to catch up tomorrow when there's a torrent for it. No reddit until then to avoid spoilers!

My comics came 4 days earlier than the earliest date I should have expected them. I probably checked the wrong box and paid a bit more, but who cares!
