Yeaterday I was organzing all the comics I have. I've been collecting since 2011, and I have around 350 comics. Every Walking Dead comic, every Runaways comic and all the major tie-ins, every Ultimate Spider-Man and X-Men comic since the reboot they had 2 tears ago, and a bunch of Amazing Spider-Mans. And every New 52 Superboy. And then a shit ton of other shorter series, and then even more single issues of things. Around 50 of these comics came from garage sales or are from my childhood. That means I've bought way too many in the past 2 years. When I move out next year I will cut back to a handful of titles, but until then I have no financial obligations because I live with my parents, so I think I will enjoy buying as many comics as I want.

Guys I think I have a problem.

I went back to the comic book store today. I bought volume one of the Y: The Last Man trades and issue one of Elephantmen.

The people there are so nice. I started talking to a couple of customers that are apparently regulars and they had so much to recommend.

This place is right around the corner from my apartment. It is going to take a very good bit of willpower for me not to spend waaaaaaayyyyyy too much money there. @_@

I just realized how much I am spending at my comic shop, and I'm probably getting a job there next year. Christ, imagine how much I'll spend then!

So I got myself a 3DS in preparation for Etrian Odyssey IV:



I really like the purple original!3DS color, but everyone kept saying that the 3DS XL is much better, so I got this one instead. It's a N-American model, so I should be able to play EO4 on it once I import that.

Netherlands is not available as a location in the system settings. I picked Canada instead. I haven't tried downloading anything other than a few demos yet, so here's hoping that doesn't run into credit card trouble (my card's address wouldn't be in the correct region).

DSi → 3DS system transfer doesn't seem to work. Both systems get to "Searching for source/target system" but never connect to each other.

Ah, I've seen the 3DS XL. It looks gorgeous. Kind of makes me wonder if I should get that instead of the pretty Zelda 3DS... But then it wouldn't match my beautiful Zelda DS Lite.

Decisions, decisions.

Also, today I replaced my water bottle for maximum hydration! \o/

A pink XL? I wanted one, but I thought it only came paired with games I didn't like. I plan to upgrade to the XL myself, but all I can find are the red and blue... Eck. In any event, congratulations on your purchase! Love it.

Not sure why the system transfer is not functioning. Are both of them connected to the Internet correctly? Even though it is a local information transfer, I believe this has to be setup prior. Let me know if you continue to have problems.

Edit - Apparently the region settings between systems much match in order for it to transfer.

Yes, they both checked online before offering the transfer option. I guess that's what the "must have internet connection" thing refers to since both revert to "Local" when they go search.

As for the regions having to match, shouldn't it give a warning/error about that instead of not connecting at all?

Hm. Could be referring to the "Country" setting on Page 4 of the System Settings on your DSi. I should be able to investigate further after work.

Ah, you posted already. Yes, I found that the DSi does have a country setting. But nowhere in the manual or on Nintendo's site are regions mentioned at all. Where did you find that?

Nah, it's okay. I websearched some more and found replies on a Nintendo forum that indicated this goes for DSi→3DS transfers too. I'll have to buy those games again if I want to play them again.

My DSi really doesn't work very well anymore. The bottom screen is barely legible anymore (it almost looks like snow; yes, snow on an LCD screen), and the WiFi takes umpteen tries to connect even if it's right next to the router. I've been my DS gaming on my old DS Lite for a while now.

I can confirm that Street- and SpotPasses at least work cross-region.

Just received a Nendoroid Dead Master in the mail, and I'm waiting for my Tsukihi figma to arrive~.
I spend too much money on figures, haha.
