People with greasy fingers have ruined a few of my controllers, and when they do, I just let them keep it. I always have at least one controller that only I am permitted to touch (cue jokes of the Platinum Throne, back in the GCN era), and they hold up well.

The worst part is when the padding comes off the top of analog stick.

I've gone through more than half a dozen 1st-party PS2 controllers, and it's always the cord that breaks :V

I had a 3rd part Gamecube controller that was bigger than a normal one, it fit in my hands nicely. Haven't seen it in a year or two, probably lent it out. It had a turbo button I always accidently hit, anyways. Good riddance.

My favorite thing about that controller was it was the original gc color, that wonderful blue/purple. Most third-party ones weren't.

Hm. I guess I may have broken some PS2 controllers if i played more than just RPGs on that system.

I still have my platinum GCN controller. Also have the platinum throne and a platinum crown to go with it.

I have an imported white GCN controller.

It has a 10 foot cord, which is probably due to the fact it was released for a console with wireless controllers :V

I remember one times, me and a friend of mine were playing racing games on the playstation, and the D-pad just fell off the controller in the middle of the race (it had one of those round d-pads).
