Re: Recent Purchases Thread
I know how you feel. I recently moved, but in my new room there is basically nowhere at all to display figures, so the few ones I've unpacked are just stacked in their boxes. It's very sad.
Edit: I got the Shuushuuroku on Ebay from the seller akibaline. I just checked and they currently only have volume 1 in stock. If you decide to look through their store, be warned that most of the stuff they stock is hentai (hence why I didn't give you a link).

From CDJapan:
Yousei Teikoku - Gothic Lolita Doctrine (CD)
Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha The Movie 2nd A's Special Edition* (2 BDs in a digipak, plus a 96 page art&info book, in a chipboard box)
*That's the Special Edition, not the Super Special Edition
The size of the Nanoha A's booklet surprised me. I have the regular edition of the first movie, and that booklet is only 23 pages.

Re: Recent Purchases Thread
Oops! Last two days I've bought four games, full prize, plus a console. Yesterday I bought Shovel Knight and Megabyte Punch on Steam. Today I bought Kirby Triple Deluxe and a Wii U with Mario Kart 8 and assuming the offering of a free game still counts, I'll get Wind Waker HD. The Wii U purchase ended up dragging my six year old niece home with us, she really wants to play on it, she already called dibs on the gamepad.

Re: Recent Purchases Thread
After three weeks I finally got my order from RightStuf. I guess the Dutch Mail is short-staffed during summer vacation time.
Yuru Yuri Season 1 Premium Edition (2 BDs in thinpaks plus hardcover artbook, in chipboard box)
Yuru Yuri Season 2 Premium Edition (same)
Yuyushiki Complete Collection (2 DVDs in 1 box)
Diamond Daydreams Complete Collection (3 DVDs in thinpaks, in chipboard box)
The Yuru Yuri ones are premium editions from NISA, which are twice as large as regular DVD boxes. They're really nice, but require some extra shelf space.

^sounds perfect
That's some good stuff Kimiko! I wasn't crazy about Yuru Yuri when i tried it, but I thought Yuyushiki was great.

Re: Recent Purchases Thread
Yuru Yuri was both comedy-type slice-of-life and a parody of yuri tropes. The latter wasn't really that funny and kinda got in the way a bit of the former. It got better when they stopped emphasising the parody aspect so much.
A sleepover? Oh dear, I should clean my apartment then. Let's see, I have two couches, and I think I had an air mattress somewhere. Oh wait, I have that unused mattress too of course. I could have four people (one of them not very tall) sleep over. I'm not sure if watching anime on a 19" monitor works very well with more than one person though..

Re: Recent Purchases Thread
I just bought a replacement exhaust pipe and motor mount kit for my car on eBay. I'm stupidly excited. It's going to be like Christmas! I can't wait to work on switching them out, though the mounts are going to be a HUGE challenge.
I've also made an appointment for brake service (them brakes be squealin') and an alignment this week. My little soldier of a car is going to be in tip top shape soon.

Re: Recent Purchases Thread
I started using this craft beer delivery service. Basically they email me daily with a description and offer for a (usually) hard to find and sometimes extremely rare craft beer or import. They run the gamut of styles. I email them back telling them how many I want if I want any, at the end of the period they box them up and overnight them to me for a flat rate regardless of the number of beers. So far I have acquired these things from them.
As a lover of strange and new beers I have been very pleased.

Re: Recent Purchases Thread
A few days ago my roommates were going to drive out to one of the biggest shopping centres in our region for the day and, as there was a JB Hi-Fi involved, I decided to go with them.
I will confess that I am a bit weird when it comes to JB. I consider them to be the best brick and mortar store in the country and I always get a little crazy and spend-happy when I am in one. I have literally never gone in one without buying something. That includes when I have already been in and am just going back to meet up with someone or something.
Anyway, the stuff I picked up:
I will first mention Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal: World Duel Carnival, since I didn't realize until after I had put everything away that I forgot to put it in the photo.
DVDs:
1. The Garden of Sinners: Deluxe Movie Collection (I've always wanted this, but I have been unable to find anywhere that will ship any of the foreign releases internationally. Apparently we have it now so I snapped it up, despite it not being the Blurays, so I don't risk missing out.)
2. Amnesia (I have never heard of this, but it sounds good.)
3. Zetman (Eh, JB Hi-Fi syndrome at work here, making me buy stuff I otherwise wouldn't)
4. Nichijou: My Ordinary Life (I have heard a lot about this, so I decided to give it a go.)
5. The IT Crowd >Overclocked (Given the snippets I had seen and the bits I had heard quoted I had assumed that this series was just not funny, but I caught an episode recently and was pleasantly surprised, so I decided to give it a chance)
6. Sliders Season 5 (Holy crap, I have been looking for this for years! Every time I go somewhere that sells DVDs, I ask whether they have this and the answer is always no. I have been unable to find it online either. I finally have the whole series!)
Games:
1. Fable Anniversary (Despite Fable 2 being one of the worst RPGs in a very long time, I loved the original and when I saw how cheap this was I decided to buy it. Funnily, I got carded for the first time in my life because of this.)
2. Doom 3 BFG Edition (It's pre-owned and I always buy new, but I've been getting the urge to play Doom quite a bit lately, I have no way to hook up my Xbox and my PC copies are all on Floppy Disks.)
3. Short Peace: Ranko Tsukigime's Longest Day (I honestly have no idea what this is. I admit, I bought this purely out of curiosity.)
4. Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 (A new game for $9? How could I turn that down?)
CDS:
1. Trivium: Vengeance Falls (I haven't bought a Trivium CD in a while and decided it was about time)
2. Trivium:
3. Nightwish: Showtime Storytime (I don't usually buy live CDs, and I already have "Made in Hong Kong (And in Various Other Places)", making this the only band I have ever bought 2 for, but curiosity has gotten the best of me; I want to see how Floor works with Nightwish.)
4. Sonata Arctica: Pariah's Child ( I recently heard "What did you do in the war, Dad?" and knew I had to buy this.)
Other:
Razer Sabertooth (My Sabertooth has stopped working with my 360 but, since it still works fine with my PC, replacing it has been a pretty low priority for me. I bought this though, as it was only $87, when they retail for $150 + international shipping.)
