Humans refuse to fit in with the world around them. They create alien landscapes in which only humans or the most tenacious of pests can survive. Unless you count cars as animals, the modern city is devoid of the same level of variety as, say, a Jungle or even a Desert. Humans cannot live without destroying nature and corrupting it to our standards. We live outside the natural world, not within it.

But doesn't that work in the same way that termites chew up dirt and wood to make their labyrinths? If termites were human-sized, would they be unnatural too?

While out clothing and gift shopping I picked up 2000 Nintendo Points. Not going to miss Castlevania Rebirth.

but when an intelligent species grows fat like humanity has, it only wants to be complacent

Oh, man. Game Genie.
I remember using it for unlimited magic in Link to the Past so I could run around brandishing the ice wand with impunity.

Never had a Saturn (or a Dreamcast, either,) but I remember using the NES Game Genie a few times. Felt dirty....

I was always afraid of the game genie codes for Earthbound, because >__> I dunno, I felt like the game judged me for using them...
