I felt kind of odd getting such a good haircut for only $20, so I tipped $40.

1. My old (pink) DS is more than two years old now, some buttons and the touch screen are not always as responsive as they should be, and the touch screen is a little scratched.
2. Downloadable games.
3. I wanna be one of the cool kids who have the latest stuff.
4. Having an extra DS will be handy when I want to play a Japanese game and use a dictionary at the same time.
5. This deal was €5 cheaper than the regular price (€155 currently), with extras included.
6. White was the best of the available DSi colors.

You use a kanji dictionary on your DS? Is it kanji sonomama rakubiki jiten? If so, good choice. For the price, it's a pretty decent dictionary.
I have a DSi as well, but I still play my pink DS lite most of the time. Still works perfectly.
P.S. If you have an iPhone, Kotoba and wwwJdic are both good dictionaries you might consider looking into. Kotoba is an offline dictionary, so it's comparatively smaller than the online wwwJdic, but it's great if you're still learning or don't have wifi access. Plus both apps are free, and that's always cool.

I have ordered Kanji Sonomama Rakubiki Jiten (waiting for shipping confirmation). It's from 2006, but I didn't see a newer DS Japanese dictionary in my usual online game shops.
My pink DS Lite isn't broken or anything either, but I've been pondering a DSi for a while, and this dictionary thing was just the drop/straw that tipped the scale.
I always use wwwJDic when I'm at my computer, but the couch is more comfy for playing games, and an offline dictionary quicker to load than an online one.

Well, there aren't a whole lot of great titles downloadable yet, but there are a few that are useful/enjoyable. You can see a list and reviews/ratings at .

Man, I haven't touched my DS Lite in forever. Same goes for my other gaming devices.
That didn't seem to stop me from picking up a copy of Bioshock (PC) yesterday, even though I already have the Xbox 360 version....

I'll see if I can get through it without having to deal with analog sticks.
