@King of Thorn - It sounds familiar though I don't recall much about it. If I remember right, the mangaka worked on Shikkoku no Hana (as the artist) but that's honestly the only thing coming to mind about it.

Edit: Subject matter aside, it's kind of ... uh ... cute. It's not that far along (21 chapters currently) and, hey, it's got an upcoming anime already some the fuck how. Tasogare Otome x Amnesia is really sweet, though. Which is weird considering it's written by someone who, as far as I know, is only known for his h-manga.

Kagami no Kuno no Harisugawa 16 - Chapter 16 is way too early for a confession with no bullshit, deflections, mishearing, tricks, etc. A true, heartfelt confession.

Edit: Also, read Blood Lad, to continue my new found trend of romantic comedies/harems involving dead girls. It's more on the reverse Rosario+Vampire side of things than normal harem; not sure how serious down the battle route it will go.

New Manga!
Maoyuu Maou Yuusha - Climactic battle between good and evil! The stalwart Hero vs the Demon Queen ...



...And then economics happens.

Spice and Wolf vibe to it, though it's a lot different in direction.



Essentially, the two of them agree to work together to end the war between humans and demons. Not through violence and bloodshed, but through economics, agriculture, education, etc. It's a unique premise at it's core. Kind of feels like those city-building parts of RPGs ... oh god that's the point, isn't it.

It does seem like it might go down the harem route, though (then again, ). Still, the premise itself is refreshing enough and the art is nice enough so it's an interesting read. Though, it's a very new series so not much to read about it as of yet.

Probably some more stuff but, honestly, Tasogare Otome, Sankarea, and Blood Lad are the only three recent stand outs along with Maoyuu Maou Yuusha. Mystery RomCom, Horror Harem, and RomCom Battle Manga (maybe?), respectively ... and then I honestly don't even know how to categorize this yet.

Besides potatoes are awesome.
