they're all rich brats cause their parents are are really rich. We're babysitting them while their parents go get hammered at a party. True story. BUT we get paid for the hour long car ride both ways, so I'm getting paid for 2 hours of EOIII and 4 hours of brats.

I'll see how bad they are, but just in case, Kino, post a soup recipie, would you?

Easy Child Stew:

3-4 lbs desired meat, trimmed of fat and cubed into 1 inch pieces
3-4 large potatoes, cubed
2 large onions, diced
2 cans beef broth
24oz salsa of choice
1 tbsp pepper
1 tsp each basil and thyme

Layer vegetables under meat in a slow cooker.

Pour salsa and broth on top, season, cover and cook 8-10 on low until meat is tender.

Oh, I was thinking more like we make Pho... slice them up into thin slices and let the broth cook them. Well, there's plenty of them to experiment with, so I'll let you know which works better.

Speaking of children, arrrgh, I have a child related complaint.

So, background information: We're in the funding stage of planning a surrogacy. Whenever people learn about this, they suddenly feel compelled to either A) spook us with horror stories about how horrible children are, or B) try and convince us not to do it is because, OMG, kids are horrible.

Like we just decided to try this like we were trying the new flavor of Blizzard down at the fucking Dairy Queen.

The other part that drives me nuts is the assumption that we have never actually seen children outside of stories and books, like they were freaking magical creatures or something. I don't expect to not have any surprises or misconceptions, but for God's sake, people. Arrrrghhhhhhhhh *headdesk*

Also, kids are very lean (well, non-American kids, anyway). I would almost suggest a half cup of cream to the broth, to add some body. Either that, or simmer the onions in a half cup of butter until they are translucent, and then introduce the entire mixture to the recipe.

You can trust my input on this, I used to be a Disney villain.
