Oh, I neglected to read the slow cooker part! Of course, you are correct as far as that goes. Does this recipe work with beef? I don't mean to get crazy with the substitutions, but I'm hungry and not wanting to have to alert the authorities whenever I try to move.

I modified it from a beef recipe, so, yes, that'd work perfect. I doubled the portions, but otherwise it's accurate.

>__< so embarrassing and rage-inducing!
I stopped by the store to do some light grocery shopping. I got fixings to make hamburgers dinner for tonight, chicken for later in the week, triscuits, and beer. Like 11 things all together.
I get to the register, and then write a check.
I had the lady my driver's license.
And then she's like DERP? because it's an Oklahoma license. So she calls over a manager, and they poke around the register FOREVER -- meanwhile the line is building and they're giving me dirty looks. So the manager's like "Do you have any other ID? This isn't one of the states we have listed."
And I'm like "It's a local bank, I just haven't gotten my new license yet..."
Her: Yeah, it isn't one of the states we have listed *gestures at the register*
Me: Uhhh... well, Oklahoma is "O-K" can you ... type it in?
Her: Yeeeeah, that won't work.
Me: Well, I don't have any cash, and that's my only driver's license...
Her: *pokes register some more, then hands me the check*
Me: ...
Her: Yeah we can't take this
.... -____- and I just had to walk out of the store without any of my groceries.
waaaaaaaaaaaaahhh

I fail to understand how ID would stop being valid just because it's from another state
...or a bank account
wait, what? I don't even see what their problem was, this isn't something I've encountered as a cashier. Valid ID is valid. And the location of the bank shouldn't matter either.
