What the fucking hell, guys. I have a doozy of a story for you.

So, I love to wear socks. I have a variety of pairs.

One of my favorite pairs is a set of thigh-high rainbow striped socks. They're pretty fun. I've had them for years and wear them quite often, especially in the spring and fall when the weather is perfect for knee skirts with long socks.

Anyway, I wore them today.

I was standing in line at the gas station when this old man approaches. He gives me a once-over and says with a challenge in his voice, "little lady I'd like to ask about those there socks yer wearin' and if yer tryin' to say something with 'em -- that is, if you mean anything by 'em"

And I'm like "uhhhh" and look down at my legs and then back up at him, "No, I just like wearing them"

He gives me this doubtful, judgmental look. "Well 'cause last week there was that thing, so I was just wonderin'..."

I get an immediate sinking sensation in my stomach, but I just stammer out "No, I don't know anything about that" in a rather dismissive way.

He gives me another mean look of judgment and walks away.

I paid for my items, got back in my car, and then fully processed what had just happened. I immediately started to regret not just telling the guy off, or at least insisting that I supported the radical gay agenda -- the one where they make your babies gay and give you super AIDS. Or at least not acted like a bullied fucking coward about it. I blame the fact that my brain was firmly switched into WTF mode the entire time.

You should have glared back at him and told him that those socks have super gay powers that make your eyes shoot gaybeams that would turn him gay if he didn't bugger off.
