Banana Fish volume 8 is going for $120+ USED and is completely out of print (I checked directly with Simon & Schuster) -- son of a BITCH. Will I ever be able to finish this story?

In other news volume 6 of Banana Fish has what is possibly the greatest scene I've ever read in manga; Ash shows up in a bloodied, ripped up tuxedo toting a motherfucking machine gun and declares "I will protect you! Don't leave my side!" and it is so goddamn awesome.

I see now why this is series is huge in Japan. There's truly nothing else like it.

and they let volume 8 fall out of print!
