Do they let you pick up shifts from co-workers? At my old retail job you could trade shifts like crazy, so sometimes I'd look at the schedule and just ask people "Hey, you want your Sunday 2-7 shift? I'll take it" Or I'd show up around 7 and be like "who wants to go home? I'll work" (this worked especially well after I was qualified to work any shift in any department, even cafe). It was great for picking up extra hours when you weren't scheduled enough.

When you have a cut on your hand, it can be irritating trying to do simple things like wash the dishes because of it either makes the cut sting or force you to change your bandage. And you may end up avoiding any number of things after which you would wash your hands due to not wanting to chaneg your bandage too much. It's not disabling, but it makes minor tasks irksome.
I feel very similarly about my computer right now. I had a problem with my keyboard since last year, leaving me to use a USB keyboard. I have since replaced the laptop keyboard, but because of some snafu in how I installed it, the shift keys don't work.
As a result, in order to write fluidly I still need to use the USB keyboard for things in which I want to use capitals and punctuation, which is most things. So now I feel irked when having to type anything because of the relative unwieldliness of the keyboard.
It's not a major problem, but it adds enough discomfort to typing that I don't do it as much or as easily as I would otherwise. Which is frustrating.
