I am somewhat inclined to agree with Sampson. There were some kids at the church we went to this morning who would. Not. Shut. Up. And it was really distracting. I helped in Sunday school for years at my church, and I believe that is where children belong. They don't understand what's going on in the main service, and they don't know how to behave during it, so they should be somewhere that's meant for them. That's how I see it.

Drathi, that sucks. I don't quite understand how exactly she's worth all the shit you guys are dealing with, but I'll take your word for that and I hope things work out for you.

This morning (in church, with the lovely background music of screaming children), I had a conversation with this guy I know who moved to Pennsylvania at the end of the summer. Whatever the hell we had going on before he moved (which wasn't much, truth be told), it was the closest I've ever had to a real relationship. Now he has a girlfriend who sounds to me like a bitch with a lot of issues, and he seems to think he can fix her, which will probably not be the case. I really don't want to see him get hurt, because he's such a sweet guy, but he has really low self esteem and I really don't think she's good for him (and this is not jealousy talking, I am totally over whatever I felt for him) or that he can fix her numerous problems (she needs counselling), and I just don't see this ending well. But I really don't know what to say. Ugh.

Which is one of the numerous reasons I don't play MMO's. This happens about every time when I join a room, group etc.

Besides, I don't even get how people can get addicted to those things. Seriously, theres no real reward for becoming the best, no story to end, no accomplishment, just people staring at your character thinking "I wish I were that cool", while eating a hot pocket and finishing up the seventh soda of the day at 12:00 AM.
Even if you get THAT satisfaction it hardly lasts. Even if you were to run into someone who played at like, comicon or something, he would be like:
"hey, aren't you Googly2, the first person to get the dragon sword?"
"Yup, totally, wanna join my party?"
"Eh, no, I'm already in a party with Real334."
"Who's he?"
"Oh, hes the first player to find the dragon SPEAR, hes like, ten levels higher than you."
"Oh"
"Bye"
"B-bye"
Besides, practically everyones either a troll, incompetent fool, or a nerd who wants to show off his "HAX0RS", and they CAN be because the internet gives you total privacy of identity. I wished we were more like korea, theres NO privacy on the internet THERE, so that way I can go to the trolls house and beat him up if hes a PK'ing ass.

And my rant continues on and on about MMO's, but not here, since I know you guys are probably tired of reading this anyway.

Oh believe me, this was not much of a relationship. For two of our three "dates", which barely counted as dates, my brother came along. Yes, Zach. It was awesome.

I love the MMO I play occasionally Cabal or if you are really looking for a FANTASTIC social community, in my experience MegaTen: Imagine was fantastic

You can't waste a great time being afraid of trolls. If you are playing the game and enjoy it as it is, then continue playing it. The "social" aspect should be a secondary component.

Also, be careful about joining any random guild invitation. That's so boring. It's often just some n00b trying to get people in and is usually highly inactive. Most guilds anyways are filled with inactive people. Out of a list of 20 people, you can expect maybe five.

And then again, it could be your opening. I once was invited randomly and accidentally clicked "join" but I stayed when I said "Yo! So, who likes some sexy hentai" SO just expecting to jump out of the guild. XD The replies I got were so humorous I stayed in the guild for about two weeks before I got bored and left.

Trolls are scum. *shrugs* In Cabal I kept getting PK'ed by some bastard and I kept returning and finally I said, "I'm not leaving. Hope you enjoy your hour or more of prison." (Cabal has a prison for PK'ers) If they are annoying you, just switch channels or guilds. Don't take it personally. Honestly, I always enjoyed tweaking them. If I got too annoyed with them, I would just jump to my other character that I had :3

I play because I enjoy playing the game. If the chatroom shut down I would still be just as fuck happy with the game. It's not because I want to be OH SO AWESOME player. :3 I only want that because PvP is one of the funnest elements of the game and I enjoy it when I do win. Or I get a sense of satisfaction out of helping a n00b. (Especially in Cabal since the enemies always attacked the person with highest STR - I think, it's been a while - so a n00b could easily attack without TOO much possibility of death)
