Will do.
I'm stressing over the fact that my drawer was -$66 short due to one of my CSAs using my drawer for a refund that they rung as a sale... so it's fixable, but it's still a paperwork hassle for my boss. Dammit.
And then I remembered halfway home that I'd left a giant cup of tea at the register with my fucking name on it. DAMMIT.

*mutters* There are several DO NOT DO's that are just unwritten laws when trying to please gamers.
- Make sure it's not just a rehash of the first game with better graphics unless it was a major downfall in the first game (which it wasn't in this case)
- Do not give less options than the first game - such as freestyle.
- DO NOT make the game require so much CPU that a basic student computer cannot handle it even on the LOWEST game settings.
- Do NOT pop things up every two seconds for a tutorial. Do it in one nice lump or else the person is going to get confused REALLY fast - especially since it's a game where things are naturally popping up all the time
- And ABOVE ALL ELSE: Saving should take at the most 30seconds. 1min is pushing it, BUT WHATEVER IDIOT THOUGHT THAT A FOUR MINUTE SAVE WOULD BE FINE OUTTA BE DRAGGED OUT INTO THE STREET AND SHOT!!! >_< OMG!! I WILL NEVER GET THOSE MINUTES OF MY LIFE BACK AS I SAT AND WATCHED A COLLECTION OF FIVE SCREENS AND TEN TIPS CYCLE THROUGH OVER AND OVER AGAIN!!
Well, whatever. Thank god it was just a demo. No money lost. Money saved.
Fuck it, I'll buy the first game that I KNOW was damn good.
In case you were wondering, I was playing the demo to Majesty 2. I LOVED the first Majesty game but lost the disc in a move. Saw the game at Walmart the other day and decided "Wait, Penna! STOP!! Don't buy it just yet.... let's look at some youtube vids and reviews or something before I buy this." Found a demo last night EVEN BETTER!
After fighting with DirectX to even run the damn thing (an hour wasted) I was ready to be impressed. ... That did not happen. And then... I clicked "save". o_o Shit! Not even the PS2 remake of FF4 took that long to save!! That... was the straw that broke the camel's back. Now I'm disgusted and left with this insane urge to play the original. Especially since some of the voices and the sounds that I heard were either very good copies or were just carry overs from the first game. THEY DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO CHANGE THE MUSIC SCORE!!
*Sigh* So, I put in for a purchase of the first game - with the expanded game pack I never got to play even - for $10. $15 after shipping and handling. God, to think I almost paid out $40 for a sucky sequel... good call, Penna... good call. Suppress those gaming urges and use your intellect.

shut up noodles you don't even have know what a bank is :p
We called the cops on our neighbors AGAIN last night. It is ridiculous. We escalated things by requesting to sign a citation this time, though. I don't feel the least bit guilty because I distinctly heard them screaming WHOSE DOG IS THIS? SOMEONE KICK THAT FUCKING DOG HEY KICK THAT DOG HEY SOMEONE KICK THAT DOG at some poor stray dog that must have wandered up to their party. When I relayed this information to the police officer he was like "Yeah, that'd make me mad, too"
I hadn't thought the party was especially big or anything, but when I came outside to speak with the police officer I saw SO MANY PEOPLE just pouring out of that house. It was ridiculous. They were walking to their cars all up and down the block. We called at like, midnight, too, and people were still arriving so who knows how many more would have shown up before the night was over.
We're going to ask our landlord if he knows who the landlord is for the other house, and then we're going to speak with the Greek council on campus... which might be a futile task, but it is clearly an off-campus party house for a Fraternity (the campus is dry, so they can't drink in their own damn frat house). I want these assholes out of my fucking neighborhood.
Fucking hate my neighbors. But it was so mercifully QUIET after the cops left... <3 So nice and quiet.
